Mid-Century Modern Style

Mid-Century Modern Style
“Mid- Century modern” generally describes mid 20th century developments in design from roughly 1933 to 1965, a style that is now recognized by scholars and museums worldwide as a significant design movement.
It reappared in our scenes more then 10 years ago, and it still works. Perhaps no other period produced the same volume of household-name artists and designers as this era: George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen and dozens more.
Its emphasis on pared-down forms, the natural materials, the contemporary graphic patters, the medley of functional comfort and chic style… Mid-Century Modern still has the power to take the scene in our houses today.
