Simple thanksgiving table setting for friend dinner party. Paper napkins featuring a funny turkey and few orange accents.
The 4 top decor trends in 2015: geometric pattern, house shaped decors, mid century furniture and accents, bright colors.
House shaped decor: wood or metal shelves, paper tissue boxes,… these are all affordable accents to refresh your home with a trendy accent.
Bright colors: let’s spring coming in to your home! Neon and pop accents will be really popular in 2015. Back to 80’s but with a new modern look. The best choice? Bright color on nude light wood items!
Geometric patten: they have been really trendy in the past 2014 and they still are very loved. Black and white optic, colorful triangles and more.
Mid century modern: mid century furniture has been refreshed with new colors (brights) and details.
I found this cute furniture on Codesign. It looks like all other shelves, but it hides a nice surprise! It’s the perfect choise to build up your indoor vertical garden: it automatically waters your plants.
The glass reservoir on its top can be monthly filled with several liters of water. And it’s electrically free, the water is distribuited by gravity trough a process called capillary action: discreet plastic tubing toward capillarity mats on the shelves’ surfaces mimics the natural wet-dry cycle of the groundwater, providing plants with the right amount of hydration.
No more matters during holidays time if you mean to leave your home for a while. I’m just wondering if glass will look spotted of limestone signs… but for the moment I would only like to close my eyes and imagine this cute vertical garden in my living room!
Back to the 80s style with this neon mood board! Nowadays neon style is back, mixed with different styles – from classic styles to modern, minimalistic styles.
The better way to include it in your home it’s to use neon accents rather than creating an entire room furniture.
Keep in mind that neon will create a beautiful impression only when used in a spread out lodging. To complete the interior you can use accessories or small furniture as chairs, end tables, pottery,…
In the moodboard above, I used a light minimalist furniture with a mix of black and neon color details. It’s up to you to use only one neon color, or to mix them (but better never more then 3 neon colors).
